Ghosts & Goblins

Literature to Scare and Delight

October 24 & 25, 4:30 p.m. at Mac-O-Chee Castle

$10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 5-15

Register up through the day of the program

Enjoy traditional autumn games and Halloween customs, poems about goblins, stories about ghosts and a recreated 19th century visit with a medium.  This program is best suited for children ages 8 and older.

A free outdoor program

Admission to Mac-A-Cheek Castle will be free for veterans.

GIs and Jerry, Life at the Front: How American and German troops lived during the Moselle campaign in France, September 1944 presented by the Greater Ohio Living History Association, WWII US Mech Forces HQ.

Castle Fair and Dragon Lair

A free event for Lords and Ladies of all ages

September 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Mac-O-Chee Castle

A free outdoor program featuring:

-Medieval Life Inspired Activities and Games

-Interactive Creative Play with Costumes and Puppets

-Stone Chiseling and Blacksmithing Demonstrations

-Dragon Puppets with Pam Clouse

-Hands On Living History with Dr. Joe Metz representing a Knight in the year 1300 AD


In celebration of a centennial of tours, admission prices on Sept. 7 at Mac-O-Chee will be reduced for adults and free to children.  (Regular admission fees apply at Mac-A-Cheek Castle)

Lawn Concert by the

West Central Ohio Community Concert Band

August 16, 6:00 p.m.

Lawn at Mac-A-Cheek Castle (weather permitting)

A special admission rate of $10 will be given to any concert goer who wishes to tour the historic house museum at 5:00 p.m. before the concert.
